Dubai: Indian expatriates are spoilt for choice on the occasion of Diwali with the release of two major Bollywood movies 'Saawariya' and 'Om Shanti Om' across the emirates. Many movie buffs stayed away from work and had booked in advance to watch both the movies on the same evening and also enjoy the day and night India vs. Pakistan one day international match. The hot topic of the discussion and debate has ranged from Sachin Tendulkar opting out of the captaincy race for the test matches to what to buy and what not to buy for Diwali to which of the two movies will fare well at the box office. A ticket counter personnel at the Grand Megaplex at Ibn Batuta Mall showing the Ranbir Kapoor starer Bollywood movie 'Saawariya said that all the evenings shows are running to full houses.

Similar was the response from the ticket counter salesperson at Cine Star-1 at Deira City Center which is showing Shahrukh Khan starrer Bollywood movie 'Om Shanti Om'.

"The telephone did not stopped ringing yesterday with people making enquires whether they stand a chance of getting any tickets. The evening shows are packed full house," said the salesperson.

Sonia Kapur is a college student who had done her advance booking for the 1.30pm show of 'Saawariya' at Cine Star-1 said that she had planned to gone for a midnight show of 'Om Shanti Om' as well.

"There is so much hype that has been built around the two movies. I saw 'Saawariya' and Ranbir Kapoor looked awesome in the movie. I am just crazy about him. Even the actress Sonam Kapoor was good. How can I forget Salman Khan who had played a small but impressive role in the movie? But it was Ranbir all the way. I am sure that all women will agree with me after they watch this particular movie," she said.

Rahul Kapadia a businessman from Dubai is a die hard Shahrukh Khan fan and has also done an advance booking for 'Om Shanti Om'. "The actress Deepika Padukone is beautiful. The movie has some foot tapping music. I will be going for the movie with my family," he said.
